Thor is an Afghan-American born in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He moved from Kandahar to Kabul when he was 6 years old. He left Kabul when he was 14 to attend Phillips Exeter Academy through a scholarship award. Four years later, he attended Princeton University. Upon graduation, he pursued a profession within the insurance industry. Over the course of a more than 30-year career, he held various senior leadership positions within CIGNA, UNUM, The Hartford, and MetLife.
He has never forgotten the goodness of the Afghan people or their trials and tribulations. He is thrilled to devote his energies toward helping FEDAA achieve its vision that every Afghan be educated to thrive, inspire, and unite.
