Ahmad Shahzad Hamidi

Nangarhar Province | Kardan 2023

I was born in Sorkhroud, Nangarhar province. I have 5 brothers and 5 sisters. I graduated from Afghan technical and vocational high school, Kart-e-Chahar, Kabul, Afghanistan. 

My major is Political Science and International Relations, Faculty of social sciences. I chose this field based on my intrinsic interest. Political Science and International Relations is the field that I was very curious and wanted to know more about. I always thought with myself that how would be the future of backward countries, especially south Asian countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan...and what kind of relations are they going to have in future. I always strongly think what would be my role regarding this issue, and what I really can do for my people and country when I complete my studies. My family wanted me to study a medical or engineering field but I chose this field according to my intrinsic interest and somehow convinced them. 

I have worked as an English language teacher in one of the local primary schools. When I complete my bachelor's degree at Kardan University, during or after graduation, I'd like to work in one of the organizations or institutions related to my major in order to implement the knowledge I have gained in university and to get some experience. Besides, I'd like to work on a project that will enable me to make an investigation of domestic and international Afghan politics. 

In my free time, I like to talk and make relations with foreign countries' residents, as well as knowing about their cultural, social, educational, industrial and political situations through specific apps. I'd like to do volunteering tasks for the sake of Allah and serving humanity.
