Dr. Tetsu Nakamura Peace Scholarship
"One of the greatest joys is unlocking the power of education to transform a life. Every Afghan deserves the opportunity to go to college, to pursue their dream profession so they can support themselves and their families, and ultimately serve broader social needs. My dear friend, Dr. Tetsu Nakamura, in whose name we have established the Peace Scholarship, devoted his life to helping the people of Afghanistan. Partnering with FEDAA is a fundamental commitment of JSAF to Dr. Nakamura’s belief that no matter where a person lives or where they were born, access to quality education is a human right, not a privilege. Through the Dr. Tetsu Nakamura Peace Scholarship, JSAF honors Dr. Nakamura’s legacy by supporting FEDAA’s effort to ensure that every Afghan is educated to thrive, inspire, and unite.” Shinji Moriyama, Chair and President JSAF
